Shooting on a film set
Lifestyle photography for Eurocamp
Although I shoot film myself I often shoot alongside a larger film crew to cover the stills side of the stories being filmed. When spending good money on models, make up artists and stylists etc, we want to try and get as much valuable footage and stills from the shoot as possible. Logistically it can be quite tricky when waiting for light or fitting in shots between models down times (especially children) to get everything required. The photographer needs to be ready with camera, lights and direction for what sometimes is only a few minutes window. Building a good relationship with the film crew is obviously very important, so mutual respect allows both director and lifestyle photographer to get their shots.
